Gamer title is not really a pvp title, anyone can just go and do it. All the other titles that raise balth cap are pvp titles actually, that take skill
Just my own opinion

I don't see the Gamer title as being PvP at all. I do wonder why Luxon and Kurzick titles don't increase the cap for their own faction.

/Doesn't sign. I think a big part of the gamer title is that in many of the Holiday mini games, albeit pvp, is that your real skills are replaced with either "fun" skills, or skills that you may not have unlocked, like in costume brawl. This having been said, makes me feel as if the gamer title does not reflect someone's skills a pvper, but this is just my opinion.

I am not sure where people are coming from when they say it isnt a PvP title, unless PvP means something other than Player vs Player that I dont know.
anyway, I dont think its really needed but it would probably be helpful for those that AB and do these events, but not HA, HB etc and wouldnt hurt anything or anyone else...

Titles don't take skill. Seen those r9+ Swayers who think they know everything, and don't bring shield sets or even weaponswap? Heck, I don't even think they know anything other than C-Space. Then there's buying Champion through playing a bitch role. Oh, and I suppose Glad should get a seperate title based on TA too because you can get it in RA?
Technically, this title is a PvP title and there's no other way of obtaining this title other than playing PvP. /Signed.

Although I wouldn't mind it giving Balthazar Faction raises.
I need more then 10k Balth faction for my DA/CB streaks. And I don't PvP other ways.
so, I'll /sign.

That statement is slightly false, I also PvP via FA and AB. Which are PvP, just like Zaishen Challenge and Zaishen Elite - although the Zaishen ones are more opinionated then AB/FA/JQ because you fight NPCS, however I count it as PvP because 1) It's on the Battle Isles and 2) it's a "preparation" *that fails and needs redoing* of "real" PvP.
People just say AB isn't PvP because of two things:
1. Most people focus on capping shrines, not fighting players.
2. The titles don't add to Balthazar faction.
AB is still technically PvP though.
You get balth faction? It's PvP. That simple really.
Also, I do RA every now and then, but hardly enough to call it as "doing PvP."

you mean like FotM HA? Rolling in HB? champ point farming in GvG (see the thread in riverside if you dont know).
If there was "no skill" involved in gamer, then why are there certain people who go on long streaks? That would be a statistical improbability. Actually outplaying someone with an identical bar can be seen to be more skilled than "Build Wars". JMHO

I don't really think it matters all that much if the 'lower end' PvP games contribute to lifting your Balth Faction cap, I mean to say I'm not in any way opposed to the idea, I just don't think it's needed.
Really I don't see Hero Battles as being all that much more 'high end PvP' than say, snowball arenas...
I suppose if some of these forms of PvP, 'lesser' forms of PvP in the eyes of much of the community, did contribute to the Balth cap it 'might' be a way of getting more people interested in the PvP side of the game. It couldn't hurt.

Does Balthazar faction matter? If so, then increasing the cap on holding it matters. It's similar to some reasons why they increased the Luxon/Kurzick faction caps. There are things in the game now that would allow you to gain so much faction that you don't want to waste it because you can't hold it all. With things like Costume Brawl, Dragon Arena, and Snowball 4v4, teams that make high streaks will earn lots of faction in one run, and it doesn't need to be wasted.
Other PvP titles increase the faction cap on players because of the idea that players with more experience (and thus, higher title ranks?) will play more PvP and for longer durations, so a higher cap is useful. The same applies to Gamer.

Neither Gamer nor Commander should count towards the faction cap. They're both "illegitimate" titles in the sense that they disproportionately reward degenerate behaviors - entry spiking and Resign Wars respectively. High ranks in Gladiator, Hero and Champion are only attainable through team formats (leaving the champ point farming bug aside, anyway). You should have to play a true team format to push the Balth cap up.

If Balth Faction cap 'doesn't matter' then you would have no objection to it being raised by other PvP titles... unless you're suggesting that Gamer title can be raised by means other than competitive Player vs Player game types?
Other than 'Gamer is a silly title' you really went to great effort to make arguments against your own stance on this matter. Good work.
